Introduction
Backlinko is the place for next-level SEO training and link-building strategies.

Challenges & Solutions
They reached us with the idea of creating a Next.js frontend for their website.
Backlinko’s WordPress setup wasn’t ideal for their future. Slow load times due to heavy content and legacy code hurt user experience and SEO.
To prioritize speed and growth, we implemented a Composable architecture with Next.js and Headless WordPress.
This resulted in faster website, simplified caching, no downtime, effortless scaling and edge-powered delivery.
We published the new website in August and the core web vitals radically improved.
TTFB went from 1.2s to 0.6s, FCP improved from 5s to 1.3s, and LCP decreased from 5.25s to 1.7s.
The old WordPress website took 16.2s to load, but the new Next.js cuts that down to a speedy 5.5 seconds - 3x faster!
This means you can get to Backlinko’s great content much quicker, making the site more enjoyable to use.
Our main goal was to radically improve the website’s user experience and speed.
The Backlinko team was impressed that the Composable approach achieved this without sacrificing performance, functionality, or security.
Outcomes
The Backlinko website is now 3x faster, delivering exceptional speed and an improved user experience while boosting scalability and SEO.
- FCP
- 1.3s

Testimonial
We struggled with Backlinko's loading speed for years. Due to large, high-res images and illustrations, our page sizes were enormous. And despite optimizing our WordPress theme as much as possible, our load times were still slow. That's when we decided to work with Bejamas to help move us over to Next.js. The move made a tremendous difference in our load times and Core Web Vitals scores.

Big traffic, slow site?
We rebuilt Backlinko to stay fast under serious traffic. If your content site is straining, we can do the same for you.
