Danone’s Alpro Path to Cutting-Edge Composable Web

Introduction

Alpro by Danone, a pioneer in plant-based food and dairy alternatives for over four decades.

Years before most large organisations considered it, Alpro replaced its monolithic Adobe Experience Manager setup with a modern headless stack built on Contentful, and kept improving it from there.

Three mobile app screens showcase Alpro's plant-based product line, featuring their 40-year history, product catalog, and environmental impact messaging.

Our recent codebase audit led by Bejamas was a game-changer for our digital platform. Their meticulous review of our stack, which includes Gatsby, Netlify, and Contentful, unveiled areas of improvement we hadn't considered. Their recommendations not only enhanced our code quality but also streamlined our deployment process. A must-have for any serious digital team!

Challenges & Solutions

In 2023, they partnered with Bejamas to revamp their website design to match new packaging, highlighting their products' main ingredients and flavors accompanied with custom fonts and textures.

We made this way the brand feel more modern, appealing, and consistent across all marketing channels.

The previous website also had many problems with performance, content editing, and user experience.

We migrated the site from Gatsby, which the project had outgrown, to Next.js.

We would recommend Bejamas as a digital partner. Where we initially thought we would use them only as a development agency, we soon discovered that they are capable of much more. So, they've become a more strategic partner as well.
