Growth Marketing Lead

Apply now

Ongoing application

We’re looking for a Growth Marketing Lead to own and grow Bejamas’ marketing engine. This is a hands-on role spanning content, SEO, website growth, partnerships, events and marketing operations.

We don’t need someone whose main job is maintaining a content calendar or preparing strategies for other people to execute. We want someone who can identify opportunities, decide what’s worth doing and make things happen.

Your operating loop should be: identify 👉🏼 decide 👉🏼 build 👉🏼 ship 👉🏼 measure 👉🏼 improve.

Sometimes that means creating content. Sometimes it means improving the website, building an AI workflow, launching a partner campaign, organizing our presence around an event, coordinating merch or finding a freelancer and making sure the work gets done.

You should think in systems and bets, but also be happy simply owning the marketing work that needs to happen 🤞🏽

What you’ll own

1) Growth opportunities

Continuously look across our website, search data, analytics, client work, sales conversations, partners and market for opportunities. You’ll work with tools and sources like Ahrefs, PostHog, Search Console, CRM data, internal project knowledge and AI assistants.

We expect you to turn signals into clear bets: What did you notice? Why does it matter? What should we do? What will we measure?

Not every idea needs months of analysis. Small, reversible bets should move quickly.

2) AI-native workflows

We use AI heavily and expect you to do the same. Claude Code or similar tools should feel natural to you; not only for writing, but for research, analysis, working with data, exploring our website and building repeatable workflows.

For example, you might create systems for:

  • finding content and SEO opportunities
  • creating and improving case studies
  • reusing internal knowledge across marketing and sales
  • refreshing existing website content
  • turning project and sales insights into useful growth assets

What matters is curiosity. When you encounter a new tool, repository or data source, your instinct should be to explore it and see what you can do.

3) Website, content & SEO

We want you to treat the website as something you can actively improve; not something that always requires a developer ticket.

You’ll also turn our client work, technical expertise and partner relationships into case studies, service and landing pages, decision-stage and SEO content, technical articles, founder/stakeholder content, newsletters, and event content — with a clear growth strategy across our channels aligned with our ABM approach to mid-sized and larger organizations (our ICP), and prioritised activities that funnel this highly selective approach.

AI can handle much of the technical execution. Your job is to spot opportunities, explore, prompt, experiment and ship.

4) Distribution, partners & events

Think about how our strongest ideas travel across search, AI assistants, LinkedIn, partners, newsletters, events, sales conversations and existing client relationships.

You’ll also own marketing around things like conferences and partnerships: positioning, content before/during/after, founder participation, client or partner involvement, materials, merch and follow-up.

Not all of this work will be exciting or scalable. Some of it is simply marketing operations that need an owner.

That’s part of the role too.

How we expect you to operate 👇🏼

1. High agency

We’ll give you access, context and guardrails. Within those guardrails, we expect you to make decisions.

Our useful principle: if the downside is small and the decision is reversible, act. You don’t need permission for every experiment.

2. Own the outcome

Ownership doesn’t mean doing everything yourself. Know when to: do it yourself / use AI / involve someone internally / give it to a freelancer.

You can delegate execution, but you can’t delegate ownership. You own and execute the work needed to bring in our ICP, with clear growth in ICP-matched incoming leads.

3. Ship early

We don’t want months of onboarding followed by months of strategy. You don’t need to understand everything about Bejamas before improving something. Some channels, like SEO, take time to deliver business results. But we should still be able to identify useful signals much earlier

What we’re looking for

You might be a strong fit if you:

  • a hands-on builder, not just a strategist - you’re excited to roll up your sleeves and build things yourself, even when you haven’t done them before
  • high learning velocity - you’re naturally curious, quick to pick up new tools and technologies, and comfortable figuring things out as you go
  • a bias toward action - you don’t need a perfect plan to get started; you’d rather run an experiment, learn from it, and iterate than spend months defining a strategy before shipping anything
  • technical curiosity - you don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be excited by new technology and willing to understand how things work under the hood, and increasingly use those tools yourself
  • resourcefulness - when you encounter something you don’t know how to do, your instinct is to figure it out rather than immediately look for someone else to do it
  • growth mindset - you’re energized by discovering new ways to acquire, activate and retain users, and by the pace at which AI is changing what a small, ambitious team can do
  • a strong desire to get exceptionally good at this - whether you’re early in your career and deliberately building your skills, or you already have years of experience, you’re hungry to learn, experiment and raise the bar

Nice to have: Ahrefs, PostHog, GitHub, MCP, modern web/CMS knowledge, B2B technology, partner marketing, event marketing or freelancer management experience.

What success looks like

First 2–3 weeks

You understand enough of Bejamas to form opinions, have identified several worthwhile opportunities and have already shipped something meaningful.

You’ve completed at least one version of: identify 👉🏼 decide 👉🏼 build 👉🏼 ship 👉🏼 measure 👉🏼 improve.

First 30 days

We should see multiple improvements shipped, at least one useful repeatable AI-assisted workflow, a clear view of our growth opportunities and significantly less dependency on leadership to push marketing work forward 🤞🏽

3–6 months

We should have a growth marketing operation that consistently ships and learns: stronger case studies and client proof, better search and AI visibility, stronger partner/event marketing, useful stakeholder content, repeatable workflows and a portfolio of growth bets we have scaled, changed or killed based on evidence.

For this particular role, the most important for us is that good marketing ideas should turn into shipped work without leadership needing to chase them.
