Sitecore migration

Move off Sitecore without losing rankings, content, or momentum: a senior European team that audits your estate, replatforms onto a composable stack, and runs the result. One contract, no rip-and-replace of the systems you keep.

    • Rippling
    • Danone

What we do

  • Audit. Map the Sitecore estate (templates, content, integrations, URLs, and traffic) and model the TCO of staying versus moving. You get a migration plan and a target stack before anyone touches code.
  • Migrate. Replatform onto a headless CMS (Contentful, Sanity, or Storyblok) and a modern framework. Content and assets moved, redirects mapped 1:1, SEO protected through the cutover.
  • Run. Editor training on the new stack, a component system your team can extend, and an ongoing team keeping the site fast and shippable, the part Sitecore made expensive.

The audit models your TCO against your current Sitecore baseline before you commit. Bennetts came out of that exercise with total cost of ownership down 70%; your number comes from your own licence, infrastructure, and change costs, not from ours.

Decide what leaves Sitecore and what stays

A Sitecore exit starts with an inventory of templates, publishing workflows, media, URL history, and integrations. We also record any personalization, search, forms, or campaign functionality your team actually uses. A replacement CMS alone does not replace every feature of a DXP.

The audit produces a target architecture, a cost comparison against your current estate, a content and URL mapping, and a phased delivery plan. Each dependency gets a decision: retain it, replace it, or retire it with an owner approving the change. Your security and procurement teams can review the proposed systems before implementation starts.

Launch acceptance and ownership

Before cutover, we reconcile migrated content, test the redirect map, verify canonical and indexing settings, and exercise the editorial and enquiry journeys. The release plan names the launch approver, rollback conditions, and the team monitoring search and production after launch. Rankings can fluctuate during a migration; these controls make problems discoverable and actionable.

Bennetts’ three-site migration is the documented Sitecore example behind this service. Its savings belong to that project. To scope yours, bring your renewal date, site list, and integration inventory.

Why us

Migrating a large content estate without losing rankings is the thing we do most: off WordPress, off Gatsby, off legacy DXPs. We’re partners with the platforms we migrate onto (Contentful, Sanity, Storyblok), we preserve URLs and SEO through the cutover as a matter of method, and we don’t force a rip-and-replace: your cloud, your CRM, your analytics, your SSO stay. Everything runs through the same evidence-first Audit → Design → Migrate → Run process, and the security and procurement side is handled for the approvers, not just the champion.

The Sitecore exit we ran

Bennetts, a UK motorbike insurance broker, ran three sites on a 2017 Sitecore install. We moved all three onto Next.js and DatoCMS as one platform their team manages from a single place: mobile performance up 44%, desktop up 24%, and total cost of ownership down 70%. That is the shape of the engagement: the licence line goes away, the three estates become one, and the team keeps publishing.

Testimonial

Bennetts
Fantastic project and working experience with Bejamas. The scope was extensive, as you would expect with a multi-site build and launch, and the team took it all in their stride. Communication was excellent; feedback and options for optimisation was forthcoming, all with a high degree of skill and creativity Very highly recommended and we look forward to working Bejamas again on future projects.
